Step back into history with our Raigad Expedition, a trek to the legendary fort once crowned as the capital of Swarajya by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1674 AD. Known as the “Gibraltar of the East,” Raigad Fort stands tall at 4,400 ft in Mahad Taluka and offers not only panoramic Sahyadri views but also a deep dive into Maratha heritage. From the Samadhi of Shivaji Maharaj to Rajmata Jijabai’s residence, every stone narrates tales of valor, vision, and legacy. This trek is suitable for both beginners and seasoned trekkers, offering a blend of history, adventure, and breathtaking landscapes.

The trek is of moderate difficulty and suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. It involves a steady ascent with a few steep sections.

Yes, breakfast and lunch will be provided. However, you are advised to carry some dry snacks and a water bottle for the trek.
Yes, the entry fee for Raigad Fort is included in the package.
Basic washroom facilities will be available at the base village before starting the trek.
We expect to return to Mumbai by around 10:00 PM on the same day.
No prior trekking experience is required. Our trek leaders and guides will assist you throughout the trek.
Cancellations Policy
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the trek date:
- You will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the trek date:
- No refund will be provided for cancellations made within 7 days of the event.
In case of trek cancellation by TheTravelHood.in:
- If the trek is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather conditions, natural disasters, or any other force majeure events, we will offer you an option to reschedule your booking to a future date or provide a full refund.
No Refund for Partially Attended Treks:
- If you leave the trek early or fail to attend any part of the event, no refund will be provided for the unutilized portion of the trek.
Transfer of Booking:If you are unable to attend the trek, you may transfer your booking to another person by informing us at least 24 hours before the event. This transfer is subject to availability.
✨ Travelhood – Advisory & Instructions
- Social Distancing: Every participant is personally responsible for maintaining social distancing throughout the trek—both within the group and with others at the destination.
- Prohibited Substances: Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited. If any participant is found violating this rule, a fine of ₹500 will be imposed, and the person will be removed from the trek immediately.
- Final Authority: The decision of the trek leaders is final and binding on all participants.
- Cleanliness: Littering or polluting the trekking route or destination is strictly prohibited. Disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found doing so.
- Washroom Availability: Please note that there are no washrooms on the fort. Washrooms are available only at the base village.
- Personal Belongings: Participants are responsible for their personal belongings such as jewelry, cameras, power banks, etc. Travelhood and the trek leaders will not be held responsible for any loss or theft.
- Age Limit: Minimum age requirement is 10 years. Participants below 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Again, smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited.
- Liability Disclaimer: Travelhood, including its organizers, sponsors, and performers, will not be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the trek.
- No Show – No Refund: Participants who do not show up for the trek will not be eligible for any refund.
- Event Cancellation (Before Departure): In case of cancellation or major changes before the event departure, the trek amount will be refunded.
- Event Cancellation (After Departure): If the event is cancelled or altered after departure due to force majeure or any situation beyond our control, Travelhood will not be liable for a refund. However, we will do our best to arrange a suitable alternative wherever possible.
- Confirmation Fees: A non-refundable confirmation fee of ₹500 must be paid to secure your spot.
